Buzzin Trivia
Winslow was the largest city in northern Arizona during its heyday in the 1920’s and 1930’s. Charles Lindbergh designed an airport there that became a major stop between Los Angeles and Chicago. During those years, it was the busiest airport in the state.

Winslow was probably named for General Edward Winslow, a railroad executive, although a prospector near Mayer named Tom Winslow later claimed the honor. Winslow remains the Arizona headquarters for the Santa Fe Railroad.
